Time to Grow Up Sheeple
As long as “sheep” remain as such they will be led blindly to the slaughter. Dependence on the government to solve all their problems, fulfill all their needs will increasingly make them subservient, lazy, blind to their own capabilities. This also ecourages those over them to use the situation to their advantage, to gain more control and, human nature being what it is, to abuse it.
We discuss the abuses committed by big business by the lack of oversite, by deregulation. Yet we see something analagous and more frightening in our government. We expect them to be self-policing, but what assurance have we seen that they are not subject to the same temptations and pulls of human nature as that of the officers of those corporations that have led us to this fiscal debacle? The beast has grown to the point that it no longer feels itself to be responsible to the people, it sees itself as the only important entity, its only duty to the sheep being to feed them as maintenence of its source of nourishment and support. I hate to bring up “The Matrix” here but it is becoming the relationship of the Humans to the Machines.
We debate who has brought us to the state this nation is in right now; the Democrats, Republicans, the Left, the Right, The Liberals, the Conservatives, Bush, Clinton, Regan, the past 8 years, the past 20 years. The real fault lies in how the situation came about that granted them the power. We are the ones that are ultimately guilty. Little by little we have ceded our responsibilities for our own welfare to them in exchange for comfort and handouts. We have not informed ourselves enougth to challenge them on over-reaching legislation and powers. We have built the machine and it doesn’t matter who is in control at the moment, they will use it.
Our only hope is to wake the sheep up, to wean them from the Judas truck, to get them to take responsibility for their welfare, to challenge their “leaders” to represent them or get out of the way, to reshape government into a form that performs the necessary duties granted to it by the Constitution, not to be a one-stop shopping center for all of our perceived needs.
Are we going to solve that by bashing each other’s heads together on who is at fault? No, and I’m as guilty as anyone about doing that. How we will do it though is to be pro-active enough to dig deep and inform ourselves about legislation, to call/write/meet our representatives and stay on them enough to make them feel uncomfortable if they don’t take note, to let them know if they do not represent the interest of the people their future is limited and someone will be found that will. To make them live up to their responsibilities as representatives, not professional politicians.
It’s time to grow up a bit Sheeple and move out of Mom and Dad’s house.

we are all guilty. they are amusing us by our own in fighting. while they step closer to their agenda.
As long as people are happy being bribed with their own money, don’t expect any changes!
